Does anyone know where the fuel filter is located on the 2004 chevy tahoe? the haynes manual says it is on the right rail neer the fuel tank, but I can not find it. thanks Steve

Hello, Check right inside the frame on the driver's side. It might be hidden by a couple of fuel lines. Best of luck! CarGrrl

I finally contacted the dealer to see if they had any input. Come to find out, 2004 Tahoes had two different types of fuel filters. For 6 months of the year, they had wxternal fuel filters, and the other 6 months of that model year, they had a lifetime filter inside the fuel tank. That is what I have. steve
