Starting car without a key

, I have a Chevy Venture 2004 I need
to start the car so I can get it home
the key has been lost will taking the
key cylinder out of the steering
column I drilling it will I be able to
start the vehicle until I have it
repaired

No. You will also cause damage that will cost you a lot more in the long run to repair than to just have an auto locksmith come out and cut a key to match existing lock cylinder, and then program car to that new key.

Happens way too often, people butcher their cars ignition, and not only do they NOT fix it, but just add to repair costs.
