Where is the thermostat located on a 2004 Chevy Venture

There is a metal housing bolted to the front of the intake manifold. The upper radiator hose is connected to it. The thermostat sits behind the housing. The housing will need to be removed to gain access.

Replacing the thermostat on a 2003 Chevy Venture will take you to previously unexperienced frustration and physical challenges. Prepare to spend many hours bent over the engine compartment removing the components covering the housing (including the throttle ) disconnecting wiring connectors, hoses, brackets and then comes the back bolt on the thermostat housing. (Unbelievable that anyone with any thought for others could locate that bolt where it is ) There are times when you will be required to get tough with getting it apart but nothing like what you will resort to for reassembly.
