Temp won't go above 60

Asked by Carol Sep 13, 2022 at 07:48 PM about the 2008 Cadillac CTS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I left my sunroof open and of course it
rained. Car got super wet and now temp
won't go above 60 on either side. Heated
seats don't work either. Any idea of the
issue? Can it be fixed? I'm guessing super
expensive. Thanks for any help.

Don’t even attempt to diagnose this yourself, get a good shop to check it over then talk with your insurance company and see if they might cover a portion of the repairs cause it is going to be expensive to fix right.

Wow! Thanks so much for all of the great insight. I did make an appt with the dealership but this gives me a lot more understanding of what's going on. Probably time to get a new car but I don't drive a lot and believe it or not the car only has 55,000 miles. Thanks again

If you can wait before buying anything right now as prices are just nuts even on used vehicles. Fixing your car will be way cheaper than buying another car. If it only has that kind of miles on it then it is still within reason to get it fixed.
