Hi All
New here, shoping for a malibu.

I have noticed at the GM dealers around here (Victoria BC Canada) the cars offered as 2008 models come in two completly different Looks both inside and out.

Even thought the VIN numbers all show as 2008 models, half of them are just like the 2007 model year and the other half are like the 2009 model year.

Whats up with that?? Did GM Canada re-tag a bunch of 2007 cars they couldn't sell?

If I remember correctly GM is doing the same thing they did when they last redesigned the Malibu. They offer the older bodystyle for an extra year and badge it the Malibu Classic, for mostly fleet use. They did the same thing with the Silverado and Sierra when they were redesigned for 07'.
