Where to locate and how to change CamShaft Position Sensor in 2008 2.7L 6 cylinder Dodge Avenger?
Hi, I've been experiencing trouble with my vehicle, a 2008 Dodge Avenger, for awhile now. After numerous trips to the dealership to figure out and fix the problem, the technicians were finally able to discover that it's a bad camshaft position sensor. I bought a replacement, as I didn't want to have to pay the dealership $200 plus to replace it. However, I'm unable to locate where in the engine the camshaft position sensor is located, and I can't find a single source online to help point the way. Any help at all would be very much appreciated, but please be descriptive so that I know what to look for exactly. Thanks very much.

damed link ain't workin' properly...kinda weird technical error...gotta to some carryin' bricks in your teeth to get there but under forty bucks....no where's near S200, tell your guy to go jump in a lake~
it's a bit of a pain in the ass to get to, but it's on the bottom left hand side of the engine under the chain guide for the timing chain
guess we are lookin' at different motors, rev~ yours is better!

sensor mid-valve cover...or takin' a drink out front?
always go for the isometric exploded views---as a draftsman, had the opportunity to ink on mylar (no mistakes allowed) a few assemblies~
