Asked by chellebaby Nov 10, 2017 at 06:19 PM about the 2008 Dodge Avenger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a 2008 dodge avenger from an
auction.  It didn't run and no key.  My
husband put a new ignition switch, new
battery, and new starter.  When you turn the
key everything comes on inside but turn it all
the way over to start it,  no sound and
everything goes dark. Turn the key back
everything comes back on.  Help plz

Check and clean the battery terminal connections. A bad connection can cause it to short and give you nothing.

I think you have a security system problem. If the new key is not programmed to the car it won't start. This is a problem for a Dodge dealer.
