Convertible top will not go down

I have lifted the front tab and pushed the interior button. It is only beeping.... no
movement of top. What can be the problem?

mine does that too from time to time .... i dont know proper termonology but the panel that is in the trunk has to be in just the right spot for the top to raise and lower ....

Yes, that is one way to check the top's error in going down. It must be in park and the windows all the way down, the flap in the boot must be all the way in the up position and well fixed to the Velcro , if not, it will not function. Good Luck

My top would not go down. The tip on the trunk panel fixed the problem. It must be in the hooks.

I have had the same problem for years and reseating the trunk panel has always worked until now. Checked fuses and and eyeballed panel microswich. No clue now?
