2008 Saturn Vue, how is the rear wheel bearing replaced ?

Asked by Pclein Oct 11, 2016 at 11:02 AM about the 2008 Saturn VUE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have the hub off, but the backing plate seems sandwiched.  Do I need a
press to disassemble the hub?

Manual: (1) Raise and support the vehicle. (2) Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. (3) Remove the brake rotor. (4) Remove the wheel speed sensor. (5) If equipped with all wheel drive (AWD), remove the rear wheel driveshaft nut. NOTE: The splash shield and park brake assembly are supported to the knuckle between the wheel bearing mounting bolts and the wheel bearing. SEE FIG. 1. (6) Remove the 4 wheel bearing bolts. SEE FIG. 2. (7) Remove the wheel bearing from the knuckle. SEE FIG. 3.

Well. All that is already done,... the part that seems to be an issue is separating the " knuckle" from the hub. Thanks anyways guys,... I'm sure I just need to soak it r,.. then possibly a puller
