Asked by charity May 08, 2007 at 01:23 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Impala

Question type: General

what triggers the air bag to go off in a 2003 chevy imapala?

1 Answer

Hi Charity. Normally there are sensors in the side panel of the car that will deploy the airbags in a crash of sufficient force. if you need further details about the location and specs of these sensors you should contact your Chevy Dealers Service Manager. The air bags are both vital safety equipment and dangerous when tampered with. You should not mess with them without a very solid knowledge of what you are doing. Good luck!
