PLEASE HELP!
Someone please help me! I am a mom to three,
one of them being 2 months old. I have had my
Chrysler for about 4 years. 3 weeks ago I heard a
weird knocking sound coming from the hood. Then
when I went to hit my lock button on my key fab
the horn started to blare! It would blare on and off
while driving and when it would start if you shut
the car off it would still blare. It usually does it
driving and not driving for about 5 minutes or so.
So, my car has two horns. The regular horn you hit
on the steering wheel and the horn for the alarm
system so to speak. We unplugged the horns and
that same day my car died at a stop light. When
you turn tried to restart it it clicks. It takes about 10
minutes to restart it. The car was doing this for
about 3 days. During while driving over a certain
speed, idling issues, my steering wheel would lock
up, my gas pedal would go to the floor, stalling,
dieing. We left the horns unhooked and replaced
the crankshaft position sensor. Same thing. Took it
to the mechanic, they replaced the wire harness
and the lines going to the sensor. They did a
diagnosis and there were no codes after that. But
the didn't look at the horns art all. They thought
they fixed it, we picked it up, the car died on me
going down a hill at 50 miles, steering wheel
locked up, same problem as before. They also
changed the spark plugs and cleaned out the fuel
system. Mind you we paid 505 for the car the first
time. We are in a HUGE rut on bills and this is the
only car we have at the moment. We took it back,
told them the problem started with the horns and
all they did was replace more lines to the
crankshaft sensor. The car will work fine for days
then act up again after about 3. I told the mechanic
this and they called me today saying the car was
fixed. Well the same thing happened today. We
took it back to the mechanic but I feel as if they are
baffled. Someone please help me! I asked them to
scan the ECU/PCM and the mechanic didn't
understand.... he said the did a full body diagnosis,
but I explained to him you need an actual machine
to hold into the system. I heard that a dieing key
fab could cause such issues as well. SOMEONE
