steering wheel is stiff

i went to work the car was fine parked in the driveway. now i can't turn the steering wheel i checked the power steering fuild and thats fine.that car starts just cannot turn steeing wheel

sounds like a power steering belt broke...check and see if your car has (or had) a separate belt for this pump. You should be able to easily see this under the hood.
