we just bought an 2008 Sonata.  We are confused as to how you hook the MP3 up.  We can't find a cord or a jack?

You can't. It will play a CD with MP3s saved on it, but it will not play from an MP3 player. Sorry, but the stereo doesn't have the hookups, even in the back of the unit.

if it is a facelift Sonata look in the center console be between the seats lift up lid then there is a small lift up cover hiding the jack points usb plug and audio in socket ill look at one in the next couple of days to make sure of this.

A facelift Sonata would be a 2009, this is a 2008.
