Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The light bulb behind the Time & Station Display does not work. I have removed the radio, but I don't
know how to remove the metal plate on the top of the radio so I can get at the bulb.

is it a regular cd radio, or gps/navi...either way not sure what inspired you, all lights out, or partially, I'd bet you when you do remove it, you will see l.e.d.'s and will either ruin the whole unit, or be trying to glue in very small bulbs...
It's a regular cd radio. As I said in the original question, it's the bulb behind the Time & Station Display, which must be a single bulb because every other bulb on the dash is lit. I'm sure it can be removed because numerous others have said so, but no one seems to be able to tell me how to remove the metal plat that is on the top of the radio.
most radios have metal teeth that just clamp in, look close for the "teeth" that wrap around (similiar to a claw), that you don't see the tip, those often need to be gently pryed out...for the top to come off they lock it in....then a small knife tip, tiny screw driver should release one by one in a popping motion...IF THIS IS THAT DESIGN!!!! if it is not, then the top does not come off, the edges are perfectly 90 degrees and smooth, for this the face itself is disassembled, if you post a pic (if possible) i can say which you have, and yes l.e.d.'s can be replaced...
John, "this is that design." I'll try taking the top off in the way you direct. Thank you very much.
