Sounds like it was never serviced. Most likely it is already too late but try a bottle of Lucas transmission additive for slipping transmissions. But prepare for a transmission replacement.
Time for a new vehicle. Unfortunately GM transmission failures are common. On a 14 year old vehicle it will cost more to fix than the vehicle is worth. Jim
Have an 08 lucerne. Started slipping a little from 1st to 2nd. Dropped the pan changed the filter new fluid car now no longer goes into drive or 3rd. Any suggestions?!
