Need to know what a symbol means on the dash

A warning light just came on. I have checked my owner's book, but this symbol was not listed in the book under warning lights.
It is located on the speedometer side of the dash. It is orange/yellow in color and round. There are seven rays surrounding the circle like a 'sun' and it has a tiny rectangle on the top of the circle like you would see in a diagram of a watch (the winding mechanism on a wrist watch). An exclamation point is inside the circle.
What does this warning light indicate?
