2008 Cadillac DTS backseat fuse box

Asked by GuruLDX8J Mar 21, 2019 at 12:13 PM about the 2008 Cadillac DTS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My fuse box was smelling burnt , had to replace
the whole box because it could have started on fire
Apparently this is common in this year of car, why
is there not a recall on it?

because Cadillac know that there is a issue and don't want to address it . I have a 2008 DTS myself and have had issues after issues from 2 steering wheel gear shifter replaced, 2 rear seat fuse boxes replaced and only less than 150000 miles total on car and less not forget reduce engine speed issue do too wire harness needed to be replaced

I went through two fuel pump relay replacements ($22 each). Finally I broke down and purchased a new fuse box from the dealer for $419 from the dealer. I installed it in less than 15 minutes and the car was FIXED. All the dealer needed was the last eight characters of the VIN to know exactly which part number to give me. I you get in from EBay, you’ll run the risk of getting the wrong part.
