Help!!! I've spent way too much money and nothing!!

Asked by GuruCFPKC Mar 08, 2019 at 09:53 PM about the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 check cobalt 2.2 ecotec. It was
running great, I put spark plugs in it, oil change,
and new head light bulbs. The next day I was
driving it and I went inside a store came back out
and it would not start. I've changed starter in it and
still same thing. It'll blow a fuze Everytime. I'll
replace fuze it'll start for a second then blow fixed
again. It'll crank just won't fire. Battery is good. I've
traced wires everywhere and see nothing. I just had
it started but as soon as I took the oil cap off it
died. Please help me!!!

Why did you change the starter? If it cranks the starter is obviously working fine. You've got some sort of short or other electrical problem. You are not likely going to be able to find it yourself. Take it to a shop that specializes in auto electrical repairs. they will have the tools and expertise to find the problem and fix it.
