here you go take it to a dealer and http://engine- codes.com/uploads/gmc/11-03-07-144538.pdf give them that they have to fix it no charge
its a Chevrolet Factory Service Bulletin OBDII Code P0521
Ok. So what does this mean? Do I need to print this? I've talked to the dealership about the issue and they never mentioned anything ....will I run into any problems taking it there?

I had the sensor and filter replaced on my 2007 Yukon and I still kept getting the PO521 code. The PCM is looking for a certain oil pressure range and if it doesn't see it, it will set the code. I only had 2500 miles on my oil when I started seeing this and got the sensor and filter replaced. what made it go away was to change the oil. I also noticed that with the older oil the AFM did not function. Fresh oil happy motor.

In some cases the vlom will cause a low oil pressure issue if the vehicle has active fuel management, but if there is no afm, the possible cause if the oil pressure sensor and screen have been changed, is a relief valve in the oil pan. This relief valve can be replaced by removal of the front diff, then the oil pan. The oil relief valve is easily replaced once the oil pan is out of the vehicle. Other issues may be excessive sludge build up in the engine from extended time between oil changes from previous owners lack of maintenance. If sludge is the issue, you can do an engine flush with seafoam to knock the crud loose. after this I would recommend doing an oil change and running the vehicle for about 1500 miles and then doing another oil change to ensure the oil filter doesn't get plugged up with the sludge that has been knocked loose.
