Brand new battery alternator good but will not run. Jump it but dies after drive
around block.

Triple check your connections at the battery. Have your system checked for parasitic drain. Also, it is possible the diodes are bad in your alternator that tested good. When diodes go bad, will test good, however it will be producing AC current not DC current, therefore, not charging your battery. Can even happen with your vehicle off.
