2002 chevy cavalier wont start

i have a 2002 Chevy cavalier, and yesterday while sitting at mc donalds drive thru it just turned off like it.. just ran
out of gas but the tank is on a half..it wont start up, took out the crank fuse cleaned it off then it started but didnt stay
started. it acts like it wants to start though. can anyone help

Yeah, it could be crank sensor, fuel pump going bad, dirty fuel filter, etc... But, if you say it wants to start, I'd look toward fuel filter first, then perhaps fuel pump.

do u hear the pump prime when u key up the ignition? and id agree with mtmonarch id replace fuel filter no matter what u need to get a fuel gauge on the car to see the pump pressure spec is 50 to 60 psi
