Windshield Wipers

Asked by JulioLeon43 Jan 29, 2013 at 12:45 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Wipers only want to work in the ACC position with the car turned off or when i turn the key back.Turn the car ON and i get nothing but whirrrrr whirrrrr like the wiper fluid wants to shoot out but doesn't and it has fluid in it.I even WD40'd the rubber part around the wiper arms.

the cam that shuts it off in 'home position' isn't working? I'd have to take a look at your ww motor to see if all electical connections are there (and a connector hasn't been bumped off) The 'dispense with fluid' button seems to be stuck on?...not sure what your problem is exactly. WD is a water displacer, not a lubricant.
