My radiator fan is not working coudl this cause the coolant hose to keep breaking?

Asked by ChevyGypsy Jun 22, 2015 at 07:51 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The AC has never worked great and if the heat or AC gets turned on the car begins to rev
and over heat and won't work well with cooling or heating well in general. Could this be
related to the radiator fan not seeming to work? It seems the coolant/water hose may be
out AGAIN for the second time in a year and I wonder if the radiator fan is the reason for
all these issues.

Just tried to drive it today and she died in the middle of the road and wouldn't stay started up. Got it in to a mechanic and they say the radiator is cracked. HOW MUCH IS THAT TO FIX??? X( I just dont understand because we put fluids in it regularly...if the radiator fan doesn't work could that cause it to crack?

Do not waste your , cracked head, or gasket, when there is not enough coolant the heater does not work neither. Find another engine and replace it or 1000 or so, take out for now the thermostat, and you have to replace the radiator
