What is normal temp for a 2002 Chevy cavalier ?
When just sitting it got just a little over 150 .

Thermostat opening, 188--206 degrees F. Usually the first number is when the thermostat starts opening and the second number, full open. What kind of problem are you having? 150 degrees F on a fully warmed up engine, doesn't sound right, to me.

When I went to change thermostat .there was no thermostat..my fan comes on when I start the car.looks like the fan is wired to the fuse box

Well I had to change water pump. Water pump was bad.i 've never paid any attention to the temp gauge. I just happens to look at it .while my car was running while I was sitting in my driveway.and the temp was a little bit over 150...just didnt know if that was supposed to be that high.
Oh my gosh I'm freaking out king out because the temperature is steady dropping while I'm driving I Uploaded a picture of 163 standing in the drive- through pharmacy pharmacy and I'm driving again and it's now down to 160 and dropping should I the car junk the car.... Any answer 1st answer from any manThe 1st man anybody anybody with knowledge that's the key please please inform me if this is terrible because I don't fix cars I don't make payments on cars I go through cash cars at least 4 times a year someone just told my Lexus actually a 16 year old and this non automatic 2006 Chevy cobolt cost me $1600Has no inimities I don't know what the LS stands for but I need a reason give me a reason to junk it or post it 4sale $600
