I have a 2002 chevrolet impala. Everytime i hit a bump or divet in the road my car makes a weird sound from the front right and a lil noise from the front left. Sounds like sorta grinding noise.

Since it's coming from both sides, it sounds like your front struts are shot. Push down on the front fender really hard a few times. Can you get the car to start bouncing? If so, your struts are shot. If they are good, you shouldn't be able to push it down that easily and get the car to bounce. If your car has CV shafts, check the rubber boots for tears. If they rip open, you should see grease flying out all over under the car. Once that happens, they dry out and start making noise. To test for bad ball joints, jack up the front end a few inches. Take a crow bar and stick it under one of the tires. Lift up on the crow bar. If the tire moves freely up and down, you have bad joints. Tire should be rigid and stay in place when lifting on it with the bar.
Its the driver side more than the passanger side but im going to go try to bounce the car n if its fine im going ti move on to the next. I appreciate your help. Its just that type of sound you have to hear to say exactly what it is you know.
tie rods dont really make noise when they are bad. You just develop slop in the steering. Its probably worn strut mounts
Its boncey on the left side when i push down on it but not really bouncey when i push down from the front middle
