Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok Ive had some problems with my engine clanking when I start it up. At first I just thought it was on cold mornings, now it does it everytime i start it. Its consistently get louder and lasting longer, any ideas on what it is? Im thinking it mayb be about to throw a rod. Thanks in advance.

i have a 92 plymouth, it has a v6 too but what ive found is one of the pistons are knocking, making a clicking noise.

Valves make tapping noises. If its a knock it could be a rod, or maybe a spun bearing, but thats not really a knock. Solution is rip it out and get a v8.
