Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My Chevy cavalier 2001 has a issue with
the passenger headlight they both come
on but the passenger one stays very dim
making it look like it's not even on while
driving the driver hi-beam and light work
fine but the passenger still stays dim I've
replaced fuses and bulbs and don't know
where to look next as I am not so familiar
with cars please let me know what you
think thanks

could be the wiring or connector, try cleaning the connector with electric parts cleaner (visually inspect it first) and check if its getting a good ground
Sounds good ill do that and yes I did replace the bulb and that is a new one but it's done nothing
I agree with FADI there is obviously corrosion or grounding issue with that part of the circuit. Then and only then your winking cat will be gone. :D
Hahahahah awesome hopefully I can fix that and get it working thank you!
What was wrong with it
How can you check to see if the light's ground is okay or other electrical issues with the lights? (I have a similar problem with a 02 Cavalier on the driver side.)
How to you fix this issue ? I have an 02 LS Coupe that's dim on low beam on driver side and works normal on passenger side on low beam. When you switch them to high beam driver side doesn't work at all and passenger side works normal. I've changed bulbs multiple times on both sides, I've also replaced all fuses multiple times, I've also changed the DRL relay.
