Question type: General

Hi all,

These wheels are on my 68 Cutlass. I don’t believe
they’re original but I plan on cleaning them up and
keeping them. Only thing is they don’t have center
caps. Any idea what kind of rims they are? Thanks
in advance!

That looks like a stock wheel. There were fancier versions where they were painted body color and the edges of the holes were chrome. I think you have the plain, stamped steel version. http://www.oldsmobility.com/old/superstock.htm

Got ya. I was looking at them but they all have five holes like the Chevy rally wheels.

Excuse me Ma'am,...but those are Factory Oldsmobile 14" (inch) Rally Wheels... The color of the base wheel is supposed to match the car... Its missing the center cap, not to mention the Chrome inserts...

Given that this wheel has 6 holes and is a base type silver color I am thinking it could be a spare wheel or the base/economy wheel. Then again it may be missing hubcaps!

Beauty rings can be added. I suspect it had full cover hub caps originally. Not all cars had the cool 5 hole wheels.

There you go. These wheels are probably just a variation on the 5 hole ones.

Hi, I have a set of 4 wheels/tires that I can't identify. Rim says L 14X6 JJ M5 T991 DO 5 79 ZA Tires say: Winston Winner GT P225/60 R14 The wheels are original and taken off when the car was bought. Can you suggest a fair price?
