I better start making a list, lets see '78 steering column, is it tilt? I sure you want one with a good ignition switch/tilt mech. and probably a good turn signal switch(you don't care about the wheel). I'll check (3-20-2010).

I replied to your question about a steering column for a '78 Olds. Cutlass Supreme on 3-18-10. I found a 1979 Olds. Cutlass Supreme at the local Pic-n-Pul located in Lyon County, NV(Carson City). Don't know if it will fit a '78. It's in good condition, has tilt, and it locks-up pretty solid, no movement in the mechcanism. Also the ignition switch is complete, I didn't see a key. It doesnt't have cruise controll, the turn signal switch is in good shape. The nuetral safety switch/wiring/high-beam switch, is all there. All the shift levers are there and they're fine. The wheel is cracked, most of them are. The horn cover is good and it's otherwise complete. The color is red. Not sure if they will pull it out and ship it to you, however there prices for parts is reasonable and this part doesn't look like its seen hard use. Hope it helps you, you better move on this soon(next eight weeks), because they don't keep these cars long.

re: My previous response to "1978 Olds. steering column". Forget about the 1979 column, the interchange manual says it wont go into a '78(77-78).
I need a steering column for a 1976 cutlass supreme column shifter dimmer on floor no tilt
