Replace drum brakes with disk on the front of my 63

Asked by prob92vette Oct 06, 2016 at 10:43 PM about the 1963 Buick LeSabre

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I would like to know what newer car I could use the
disk brakes off of to put on my 63 buick lesabre
which has drums all the way around.  I was trying
to cut the cost from purchasing the replacement
kit.

One Buick site indicated that the later Buicks that went to disk brakes their spindles were not interchangeable with your year. There are several suppliers that make kits to do the conversion but you are probably out of luck making the change using junk yard parts.
