What was the factory equipped engine in the Cutlass and what transmission is bolted to the 73 engine? I'm assuming it is a Chevy V-8 in the 73?

A lot of motor homes had big block engines like the 454 so it might not be an easy swap.

If the motor home engine is a small block Chevy, most likely a 350 and if your cutlass has a small block V8, most likely a Chevy 305 then it should be a relatively easy swap although you may want to retain the transmission that's in your Cutlass if you want to keep it really simple. Check which side the dipstick is on on both engines. That's not a big deal, but that is a difference I've noted doing similar swaps. If it all checks out it should be relatively simple. If the motor home has a big block as was already mentioned it will become a huge project with lots of modifications required which may be more than you want to get into. It can be done, but its not a job for amateurs.
