Rear hatch wont open

There is a rod that probably has come unconnected. When it happened to mine I was able to remove the inside panel and look inside the door to grab the rod and open the door.. After I repair the rod connection I marked the spot on the inside panel where the rod was for future reference. That way I could cut the panel at that spot and fix it without going thru the problem of removing the panel. The rod and actuator is expensive, so I just took a piece of stiff wire and connected it to where the rod and actuator connects.. That was over 5 years ago and never had a problem since.
