KBB lists it at about $3k
oh crap, i somehow forgot the most important detail... the engine is dead! auto repair shop wanted 5 grand to put another engine in it, so i said no thanks. our yard guy is interested in the car & wants to know what i want for it, but don't know if it's worth even a couple hundred without a working engine!
Well then all bets are off. It has value but not much. Part it out yourself or sell it to a junkyard. Opps they don't like that. Auto recyclers, they should give you a couple hundred anyway
But $5k is too much to pay for an engine, even with labor. Shop around, you can probably get a good used engine installed for $2k
interesting...thanks for the help. i tried looking on KBB & various sites, but it's impossible to find the value of a car with no engine! $5k seemed like a lot to me for an old car like that, much as i loved it, so i put that money towards another car. i'll probably just see if our yard guy wants it for a couple hundred. his son's really into it, plus they have a trailer, so i'm sure they could haul it off, too.
