1968 chrysler newyorker

After leaving it sit for a day after running it, it must drop the fuel because I have to squirt gas in the carb. to get it started. Any suggestions?

Typical symptom of a bad accelerator pump/diaphragm, as FOR suggests, time for a carb rebuild.
