Check engine light on, car running rough; running fine today. Concern?

Following a trip to the store in wet weather, my check engine light came on, and the car ran really rough on the way home. The owner's manual suggested it could be wet electrical system. After sitting overnight (14 hours, and nice weather), the car runs fine, but the check engine light is still on. Should I be concerned?
