Not water, smells like gas, Have the car scanned for codes, may be running very rich in which causing the smell.
Honestly At this point your better off to drain the oil into a drain pan, examine it, If it is coolant it wont mix with the oil very well, it will separate if you let it sit awhile, If it is indeed coolant you might be very well looking at intake gaskets or head gaskets. If it is gas, it wont separate it will just thin the oil out, Change your oil either way, be sure your at the corect level and watch it over the the next few weeks to see if it rises. It is not uncomon for a older cars oil to smell a little like gas.
yep..first change the oil and filter...how many miles/months on the old oil ???????????????
Smell is the key word, and yes, how many miles on the oil as Kelly asked.
