2000 chevy malibu doesn't want to start without starting fluid when it is cold.
changed fuel pump, fuel fiter, cam shaft sensor, plugs, wires, and ignition. When i changed ignition swithc from salvage yard theft light has been on every since but wasn't having starting issue at that time. Car seems to start better and run better when it is warmed up. Any other suggestions, my next thought is fuel pressure regulator/
if this were a carburetor car I'd say heat-riser flap and stove kit, barring that in a 2000 am going to suggest the temp sensor that the ECU uses~

One thing I do with my GA when it's cold is that I tuned the switch to "On" and wait until the fuel pump shuts off. If it's really cold or I haven't started the car for a few days, I'll do it a second time. It pressurizes the fuel rail and gives the engine a good shot of gas at start up. It might help in your case since the successful use of starting fluid indicates a fuel delivery problem.
