When in defrost mode, the AC system runs and evaporator removes moisture from the air. The byproduct is water. It normally drains from an opening near the floor or firewall. And it will leave a wet spot under the car. That opening might be clogged. The box that houses the evaporator might be cracked? The cabin filter might also be clogged? Take a look at these areas while the system is running. See if you can see where the water is coming from. If needed, pull back the floor match and carpet
