Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 97 chevy c1500 5.0 and when I crank it the
rpm goes really high then it dies. I have changed
the fuel pump and throttle positioning sensor and
idol control sensor but it still didn't fix it.

Sounds like there is a vacuum leak somewhere. Check for cracked vacuum lines, check the throttle body gasket, & snug up the intake manifold bolts.
