According to FuelEconomy.gov, the 1999 Chevy Tahoe 2wd gets 14 city/18 highway/15 combined. The users give it lower numbers: 13 combined. The 4wd 6.5-liter gets 15 city/19 highway, and the 4wd with the 5.7-liter engine gets 12 city, 16 highway.
the 99 tahoe gets between 12 to 14 miles to the gallon in city miles and 16 to 18 miles to the gallon in highway miles
A friend of mine had the Yukon Denali and it got 10-14 city and 14-18 highway.
Supposed to be 14 city, 18 highway, but typically averages less
