Air coolant house vale

Asked by Shanicka Dec 30, 2018 at 10:00 PM about the 2008 Chrysler 300

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the air coolant housing valve.  When I
went to crank the car,  after replacing coolant and
making sure there was no air.  I noticed that there
was a small crack in the housing unit. There was a
little water coming from the valve.  My question is
do I need to return the unit or is there a glue I can
put on the cracked unit?

Return it. This system is under pressure and you don’t want it to finish breaking overheating engine leading to engine issues.
