i lost my key its a chevy cavalier so i drilled out the ignition and put a screw driver in the ignition to start it and it starts for 2 to 3 seconds then dies out how can i get it too start

You funny guy, you! Most modern car have built in protection against people (thieves) who would have the same idea as you. In most cases there is a chip inside the key that talks to the car to let it know that it's authorized.
