why is low coolant light coming on

if you are using the orange coolant you will have to open the top of resivor and use finger to remove build uo in tank on the sensor,i'm not sure what you drive but for some reason g.m.'s expecially grand ams,grand prix and malibus have this re occuring problem.

Yes, it's the sensor either gummed up from the Dex-Cool or inoperative. I have this problem with the washer fluid sensor on a 1992 Jeep Cherokee. Since it's nonessential, I simply disconnected it.
