This engine is the ROCAM engine. The 1300 engine was developed at the Ford Engine Plant in Port Elizabeth in South Africa,. It is a single OHC engine and the cam drive is driven via a timing chain instead of a cam belt. Its name the Rocam after the Roller Hydraulic Rocker Assembly for opening and closing the inlet and exhaust valves.
