Potential 2008 Honda Odyssey purchase

Asked by GuruJL8R3 Jul 31, 2020 at 01:50 AM about the 2008 Honda Odyssey

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm looking at a 2008 Honda Odyssey with 100k miles on it. Should I assume
that the timing belt should be replaced? And are there head gaskets that
should be replaced along with the belt? What should I say to the mechanic
that's looking at this car for me?

105K is when the belt should be changed, No need to replace the head gaskets unless they are leaking. At 100K, there are other parts that probably are near the end of their life, such as any component that runs off the serpentine belt.
