Question type: Maintenance & Repair
PLEASE can somebody help me with a
problem that I'm having with my car.? I am a
single mother that works full time and don't
know crap about cars. I'm really don't want
to go ask somebody at a garage due to
trust issues. I just have a question about a
certain thing that's going on with my car.
Come on guys, I know there are some
skilled, experienced grown men on here that
can understand what I'm trying to explain
and hopefully help in some way. I'm begging,
please somebody help.?

You seem to have forgotten to write an actual question.
Okay it all started about a month or two ago one day I went to go put the car in park and it didn't go into Park and it hasn't since. Well my son referred me to this website because he actually asked a question about the gear and he got a response explaining where to go and find the piece that apparently fell off or it's not in place. Well he did what he was told from someone on here and it worked I then could put the car in park. Well apparently it fell back off or out of place or whatever it is because now it won't go back in park again. Can somebody please tell me what this pieces that's causing this to happen
I don't even know how to reply on anybody's answer so I just went to where it says your answer and answered your question that way.
Your question does not make much sense. Can't do much with "it hasn't since" and "the piece that apparently fell off".
I suggest you find an honest mechanic. Ask friends and read reviews online.
The problem (not going into park) may be due to a bent/broken shift linkage or a problem with the parking pawl. If the car is not in park, then it has the potential of rolling after being parked. That can pose a major safety hazard, people have been crushed by their own cars because they were not fully in parked. You could engage the parking brake every time you park, although older cars like yours you might find those can stick or not release due to rust. Do as FOR suggests, find a reliable mechanic and have them look it over.
KenF thank you sooooo much for you're help. It was infact the shift linkage.. Thank you to all that helped.
