What do this mean about my car

I have a chevy cavalier 1997 i hear a knock
everytime i hit the break hard or fast. As well
it have troblem switching gear from drive to
reverse. And it ride great just trying to see all
things that can be wrong. As well its been
sitting 2months plus more time unknown
before i got it. Its at 124,000 miles i just got
a turn up and oil change with all fluids put in
car can u help me.

possible vacuum leak, such that the vacuum accumulator does not deflate fully to assist...perhaps you are hearing a hissing sound...anyways it's somewhere in your vacuum circuit there is a leak...perhaps a hose got knocked off by mistake when you did the oil change...just one man's opinion....Vacuum related!~
