HAs brakes one second and then noththing the next second , wont stop

Asked by Kevin Oct 16, 2015 at 01:01 AM about the 1997 Chevrolet Lumina

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1 Answer

First check brake fluid. If the fluid is up where it should be, the master cylinder may have failed, completely - which is rare. It has redundant plunger systems.... or the proportioning valve is faulty. Do NOT drive the car until fixed, the car can be replaced -- you can not be. It is a truly a life-and-death situation
