What does it mean? ETS is off and engine light is on

electronic traction system is off (which may also be accompanied by ABS light on). Did you get it stuck in snow or excessively spin the tires? That can often cause lights to come on.

I'm going through the same thing with Ets off and engine light is on, is it safe to drive my 97 chevy cavalier z24? Or do I have to take it in and get it looked over? I just do not want to b broken down on the side of the road in the middle of winter.

I'm going through the same thing with my 96 cavalier, last week I was driving home from a city and I hit a pothole and about 10 mins later my ETS Off light and Check Engine light came on. So I pull over on the highway and look under the hood and see one of my injectors popped out just enough to start leaking. So I got that fixed the next day and about 3 days later I'm driving on the highway and the lights came on yet again. Nothing is leaking that I can see. So what exactly is the ETS light and how do I fix it?
