I replaced the serpentine belt and the alternator and put new spark plugs on my 1996 chevy cavalier and the battery light wont go out.

check charging voltage and check fuse for alternator

The voltage on the battery should show over 14 volts when running. If so I wouldent worry much. Check the voltage before you start it and after.
